Avec la proclamation de la Loi sur le protecteur des enfants et des jeunes (l’ACYA), le protecteur des enfants et des jeunes au Manitoba a hérité de la responsabilité de la part de l’ombudsman du Manitoba de contrôler la mise en application des recommandations formulées par notre bureau. Conformément à la paragraphe 11 (1)(d) de l’ACYA, le protecteur des enfants et des jeunes au Manitoba contrôlera la mise en application des recommandations incluses dans les rapports produits en vertu de la section 27 (Enquête) et la section 31 (Rapports spéciaux). De plus, les paragraphes 30(2)(d) et 30(4) de l’ACYA surveille que le protecteur au Manitoba inclue dans son rapport annuel un résumé des recommandations formulées dans les rapports spéciaux, et pourraient inclure de l’information de conformité de la recommandation.
